How do I transfer a domain name to DomainSystems?
If you wish to do a bulk domain transfer (more then 10 domains) to your DomainSystems Account, then please contact our sales department at sales@domainsystems.com or by telephone at 1-800-841-7686.
In order to transfer a .com, or a .net domain name to your DomainSystems Account:
Login to your DomainSystems account. Click here for help on logging into your account.
When you are logged in, on top of the page, click on the blue tab “Transfer Domains to DomainSystems”.
On the following page, enter the domain name you wish to transfer into the Transfer a Domain box provided. Then click “GO”.
The next page will confirm if the domain name is eligible for transfer to DomainSystems. Now, click on the “Transfer Button”.
For security and verification purposes, a DomainSystems Transfer Code is automatically sent to the e-mail address on file for the Administrative Contact for the domain name.
If you do not have access to the Administrative Contact e-mail address for the domain name, then please contact support@domainsystems.com.
Once you have retrieved the Code from your e-mail, enter it into the field marked “Transfer Code”. Then press “Transfer”.
On the next page, the domain names you wish to transfer are displayed as well as the amount you are being charged. Confirm all the information is correct and then click “Checkout”.
The following page shows the contact information that will be placed onto your domain name, once the name has successfully transferred to your DomainSystems Account.
Contact information and DNS cannot be changed until the domain has finished transferring to DomainSystems.
In order to continue with the domain transfer process, click “Save”.
Now choose your method of payment from the following 3 options:
- Pay using your account prepaid funds
- Pay using credit card on file
- Pay using a new credit card
If you do not have any prepaid funds or a Credit Card on file, then choose “Pay using a new credit card”. You can also pay by paypal by submitting payment to legal@domainsystems.com. Include your account number or login name. There will be a short delay in processing paypal payments. (If you wish to pay by another method, then please contact support@domainsystems.com for assistance).
Scroll down and enter the requested information.
Once you have filled in the information, click on “Buy Now”.
You will then be brought to a page confirming you have been charged.
In order to confirm the domain name(s) has been submitted for transfer, take note of your Tracking Reference Number: Then click on where it says “Click Here” (right above the Tracking Reference Number).
You should now be brought to The DomainSystems Account Status Center
On the left. Click on the Tracking Reference Number that is associated with your transaction. On the following page, you should see that the domain transfer has been submitted successfully.
An e-mail receipt for your domain transfer is then sent to the e-mail address on file for the DomainSystems Account.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT A DOMAIN TRANSFER CAN TAKE BETWEEN 5 TO 7 DAYS TO BE COMPLETED!
