How do I register/set up a new name server at DomainSystems?

Important Notice! Use these directions only if you are registering a new name server that is associated with your domain name. If you are unsure or just need to change or modify DNS information, please see How Do I change the DNS on a domain name at DomainSystems?


Login to your DomainSystems account. Click here for help on logging into your account.

When you are logged in, you will now be in the “My Account” area.

On the menu on the left, under the “Manage Domains” heading, click on “View Domains” or enter the domain name into the “Domain Search Box” provided in the center of this page.

Click the box next to the domain name that you want to register the name server for.

Then click on the “DNS link” (this link is located above the list of your domain names).

On the next page, click on the link towards the top of the page: “Manage Name Server Host Records”.

On the following page, next to Name Servers heading, click on “Create New”.

In the Host Name field, enter the name server you wish to register (i.e. ns1.domainnamehere.com).

In the IP Address field, enter to IP Address to be associated with the new name server (123.45.67.890)

Then click “Save” to register DNS.

You should then receive a confirmation that the new name server was set up successfully:

“Added Name Server (ns1.domainnamehere.com) to Registry Successfully”.
